Senior Unified Communication and Collaboration Engineer

You will be part of the UCC team comprise of dynamic individuals performing telecom and networking-related operational support, administration, compliance and configuration. Contribute and drives design and implementation of enterprise telephony, collaboration, voice, video, webcast and mobility infrastructure. This position requires advanced knowledge of VoIP telephony principles to support the converged voice/data-networking environment deployed in cloud using Microsoft technologies. Responsible for service availability for all UCC devices, management of 3rd party voice circuits, planning and monitoring.

In-depth experience solving SIP related call flow issues, a deep understanding of core telephony backend feature sets, infrastructure redundancy, media anchoring, and routing and translations. The candidate must be highly motivated, have a sharp eye and attention for detail, responds quickly when needed, and has sound decision making skills. This position is required to participate on the 24x7 on-call support rotation, and to perform out of hours maintenance work.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Integration, testing, deployment, monitoring, maintenance and upgrades of all core telephony and Unified Communications technologies in multi-regional geo redundant architecture

  • Deploy AV standards for conference rooms in new building and office expansions

  • Assist in the system-level configuration, administration and maintenance of Microsoft Teams Meetings, Microsoft Teams Calling, Pexip CVI, Cisco UCCX, Expressways, Cisco TMS, Microsoft Teams Chat, Webex Cloud, Cisco and Poly Endpoints.

  • Voice/Video infrastructure design, monitoring, performance tuning and troubleshooting

  • Work towards strategic objectives of the organization, with specific focus on Unified Communications and Fixed Mobile Convergence.

  • Work cross-functionally with key partners to build and design models to solve business problems and derive key business insights and recommendations from disparate data sets.

  • The ability to support department goals that align with Company objectives and initiatives, VIP support and effectively collaborate with Executives and Executive admins

What we need to see:

  • Strong knowledge of MS Teams Portfolio, Cisco UCC Suite, troubleshooting, with solid understanding of the following concepts: International Dial Plans, Calling Search Space/Partitions, Media Resource management, QOS, Mobility, One Button to Join, CVI, Split Tunneling and Trunking.

  • Expertise SCCP, SIP, H.323, H.320 protocols for voice and video calling, Solid grasp of Layer 2 & 3 Networking Concepts

  • Supporting Microsoft Teams Meeting and Calling eco-system with good understanding Microsoft Power BI ETL

  • Experience with setting up and solving issues with Session Border Controllers, Audio Codes and voice gateways. Unified Communications As-a-Service (UCaaS)

  • Experience in software development, with expertise in one or more programming languages

  • Demonstrated knowledge of a telecom and backbone network infrastructure (i.e., local & long-distance calling, Telco products, QoS, Dial plan and Routing, etc.)

  • Excellent technical leadership skills such as project planning, scheduling and resource management skills.

  • 5+ years of IT experience in VoIP and Unified communication environment

  • Master's/Bachelor's Computer Science or related field required (or equivalent experience)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • CCNA/CCNP/MCSE Desired

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum, development tools IDEs, and version control systems.

  • Experience in Python, or a similar OOP language.

The base salary range is 100,000 USD - 166,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
