As a Formal Verification Engineer at NVIDIA, you will work in the formal verification team for the industry's leading chips. In this position, your responsibilities will include the verification of the micro-architecture using formal verification tools to employ the latest model checking and equivalence checking techniques, define the verification scope, and ensure design correctness. You will employ sophisticated formal techniques while working with architects, designers, and pre- & post-silicon verification teams to accomplish your tasks. In addition, you will efficiently implement the formal verification effort for the entire project cycle, delivering high-quality results on schedule and conveying those results to the team.

What you will be doing:

  • Implement testplans using the latest formal techniques, including the development of environment assumptions, assertions, and cover properties.

  • Develop abstraction models to overcome complexity challenges and obtain full proofs or bounded proofs with sufficient coverage.

  • Drive tools to realize their best performance.

  • Debug RTL to identify causes of failure scenarios.

  • Develop flow and script to automate and improve team efficiency.

  • Articulate formal verification coverage of the design to partners.

What we need to see:

  • A Ph.D. in CS/CE/EE/Mathematics or equivalent experience.

  • Some relevant work or internship experience.

  • Experience or projects of GPU/CPU/SoC designs.

  • Strong analytical and collaboration skills to solve complex problems.

  • Hands-on experience with Verilog / System Verilog HDLs, SVA assertions, and ability to understand RTL code quickly.

  • Hands-on experience with Jasper, VC Formal, or other formal tools.

  • Expert command of scripting using TCL, Perl, and Python.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate and work with members of a distributed team.

The base salary range is 108,000 USD - 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
