NVIDIA is hiring a SoC Microarchitect to design, analyze, and implement next generation SoC solutions. We are looking for special individuals with a passion and desire to deliver innovative products. Together, we will build the next generation of life changing SoC's. If you are a motivated individual that understands how SoC systems are architected and built, has intimate knowledge of digital design, and understand chip development cycles, this is your place to be.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with Architects, Designers and Customers to determine optimal microarchitectures and design tradeoffs.

  • Come up with microarchitectural solutions for connectivity, coherency, power management, security, memory management and other SOC level issues.

  • Understand and help drive implementation of bus protocols, networking protocols, memory access and security solutions across a range of products and use cases for NVIDIA SoCs in automotive, gaming, 5G, cloud, networking, and other spaces.

  • Selection and adoption of third party IPs for implementing the best possible solution for a specific customer workload or target market segment.

  • Working with teams throughout the company (Architects, RTL, PD, Circuit, SI, Thermal, SW, Platform, Operations, Marketing, etc...) implementing cross-team solutions to achieve product targets.

  • Analyze and explain the advantages of NVIDIA chips and guide customers and firmware engineers to extract the most performance from microarchitectural structures

What we need to see:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience focused on CPU, GPU and high performance architectures.

  • Experience building complex microarchitectural structures and working with industry standard components/protocols for compute, fabric, memory, and attached devices.

  • Understanding of the performance, power and security implications of microarchitectural features.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.

  • A drive to continuously learn and expand architectural and microarchitectural breadth and depth.

  • Experience negotiating solutions across design, verification, PD, and IP teams.

  • Strong background in RTL design.
