The Autonomous Vehicles Perception team is searching for a creative and experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle software out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our Autonomous Driving DRIVE SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all relevant NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. You'll find the work is exciting, fun, and meaningful. We have customers and competition.

What you will be doing:

• Work with the Perception engineering team to come up with project roadmaps and manage high-quality, on-schedule releases.

• Identify risks or issues that affect the project’s scope, schedule, and quality, and resolve them.

• Partner with the engineering team on planning and delivery in a proper agile manner.

• Coordinate work needed to achieve the required safety certification.

• Collaborate with the product, release, and QA teams as part of the execution.

• Identify areas for efficiency improvement and drive initiatives to improve team's efficiency.

• Regularly communicate the program status and key issues to management and across the AV organization.

• As the focal point, schedule and lead status meetings, handle communication of progress/status within/across engineering teams, and supervise critical issues.

• Lead and improve existing product development and software release processes

What we need to see:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience, with 8+ overall years' experience in a similar or related role.

• 5+ years of recent Program/Project Management experience driving the planning and execution of software engineering projects and releasing commercial products.

• Consistent track record of leading and successfully delivering medium to large organizational-wide programs and projects.

• Proven ability to evaluate and drive adoption of new and improved process workflow.

• Consistent track record of being well organized, having excellent listening skills and being meticulous in an environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.

• Experience with Agile tools and processes is a must

• Proficient with road-mapping tools, JIRA, and Confluence.

• Detailed knowledge of software engineering principles.

• Certified Project Management Professional & Agile/Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Commercial SW product experience as a product owner.

• SW product experience in sophisticated cloud backbone and embedded device system, working with multimedia data.

• Commercial SW product experience in operational heavy products.

• Automotive background.
