The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) at NVIDIA is an organization of process, CAD, and design engineers that works closely with key foundry partners and internal design groups. The team defines and prototypes sophisticated process, design, and yield methodologies and ensures product groups are well-positioned for the next generation. We are looking to hire a skilled and creative mask layout designer to help achieve these goals in a high-visibility position.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Testchip Layout: Physical layout of SRAM periphery, datapath, and other specialized circuits on advanced foundry processes with early and unstable design environments.

• Methodology Development: Explore physical tradeoffs, optimize transition regions between SRAM, custom, and standard cell, and provide advice and guidance to product design teams.

• Collaborate with CAD Teams: Work closely with NVIDIA engineers and externally with foundry partners on customized DRC development, testing, and debug.

What We Need To See:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of mask layout design, with significant experience in tightly-pitched restrictive design

• Knowledge of and experience with advanced FinFET processes

• User-level expertise in Cadence Virtuoso front-end and Synopsys ICV LVS/DRC backend tools

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

• Expertise with 5/3nm or smaller process nodes.

• Self-motivation, careful attention to detail, and ability to work professionally with multi-functional teams will be essential to success in this role

• Good written, verbal, and presentation skills

• Scripting ability in SKILL and/or perl

• Prior design experience involving SRAM and/or other on-die memory structures

The base salary range is $104,000 - $195,500.
