NVIDIA is looking to hire a Senior Development Engineer for the Interconnect Design team in Roskilde, Denmark for the development of high-speed interconnects that will link-up the datacenters of tomorrow. The successful candidate will work on optical transceiver development, and take ownership of full transceiver designs, including technical management of development projects with multiple stakeholders from across the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Optical transceiver design: Interact with experts in system architecture, system design, firmware, optics, mechanics, thermal, etc

  • Manage technical aspects of development projects from concept to mass production.

  • Bring-up of prototypes in the laboratory

  • Conduct detailed characterizations of transceivers against relevant standards.

  • Debug designs and optimize performance in both laboratory and system environments

What we need to see:

  • M.Sc. Degree or equivalent experience in electrical and/or electro-optical engineering. Ph.D is a plus

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with high-speed optical systems

  • Experience with electro-optical components

  • Knowledge of classical optics

  • Basic knowledge of electronics

  • Basic background of RF electronics

  • Strong product mindset: Ability to own and drive transceiver development project

  • Good English skills, oral and writing

  • Command of at least one programming language

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with packaging of electronic and/or electro-optical components

  • Background with thermal management

  • Experience with PCB design

  • Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference (EMI)
