Description
LightForce Orthodontics, the world’s only provider of patient specific, 3D printed orthodontic braces is looking for an experienced, passionate Senior Quality Engineer.
In this role, you will help drive our vision for growth by ensuring consistent performance of LightForce’s product, as well as determining room for optimization. You will bring your experience in continuous improvement of design and process to help understand and improve upon quality and functionality. You will leverage your background in quality to define strategies for setting specifications and tolerances that ensure the product reliably meets customer needs.
Working directly with the R&D engineering team, as well as stakeholders from Operations, you will lead development of new standards and protocols that empower our teams to deliver critical results for our customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead projects to develop specifications, and manufacturing control limits, as well as defining manufacturable product design specifications and visual standards.
- Conduct testing using existing methods, as well as propose novel test methods, in order to recommend improvements in design & process.
- Use experience within product development and production of medical devices to provide guidance and assistance in the development and validation of product improvements and new product lines.
- Develop plans/strategies, and implementation of systems to ensure quality is monitored and maintained.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical or related engineering discipline required
- Minimum 5+ years work experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering.
- Knowledge of statistical methods/analysis
- Experience in designing production equivalent rapid prototypes.
- Performs all activities with a focus on prevention, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
