Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Management Engineer with a focus on the Informatica platform, specializing in Data Catalog, Data Profile, and Data Quality. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data governance projects and possess the technical expertise to ensure effective data management throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

· Demonstrate advanced proficiency in the Informatica platform, with a focus on Data Catalog, Data Profile, and Data Quality components.

· Configure, optimize, and maintain Informatica tools to enhance overall data management capabilities.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data quality standards across the organization.

· Conduct thorough data profiling to assess the quality, completeness, and accuracy of datasets.

· Design, implement, and monitor data quality processes to proactively identify and rectify data issues and utilize Informatica tools for in-depth analysis of data structures.

· Link data dictionary entries to data quality assessments for a holistic view of data understanding and quality.

· Understand how to configure the Informatica Data Catalog to initialize a new metadata repository or update an existing one.

· Ability to initiate database scans to discover and catalog various objects such as tables, views, columns, and indexes.

· Ability to leverage scanning results to map data lineage, illustrating the flow of data between different database objects.

· Facilitate discussions and feedback loops among users to clarify and enhance data definitions.

· Set up approval workflows for updates to critical data dictionary entries.

· Involve data stewards and subject-matter experts in the approval process to maintain data accuracy.

· Act as a key contributor to data governance initiatives, providing analytical insights and technical guidance.

· Work closely with data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and challenges.


Required Skills

  • Certifications in Informatica tools.
  • Familiarity with other data management and integration tools.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data management and governance.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Management Analyst/Engineer, with a focus on the Informatica platform.
  • In-depth knowledge of Data Catalog, Data Profile, and Data Quality processes and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience in data governance projects and implementing data governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
