About the Role:
IPSY is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of complex technical projects within our e-commerce environment. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and key stakeholders to define project scope, manage timelines, and ensure seamless execution. Your expertise in JIRA, e-commerce technologies, and the SDLC will be crucial to your success.
This position reports to Sr. Manager, Technical Program Management and can be fully remote from any of the 16 U.S. states where IPSY has an established business presence (see list above).
What You’ll Be Doing:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage technical programs and projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resources, and dependencies.
- Utilize JIRA to track project progress, manage tasks, and facilitate communication among team members.
- Apply the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Proactively address potential roadblocks and develop contingency plans.
- Capture and track risks, issues and dependencies, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, status reports, and presentations (decks).
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
- Develop and track action items, ensuring timely completion.
E-commerce Expertise:
- Apply your knowledge of e-commerce technologies and platforms to support project delivery.
- Understand the technical complexities of e-commerce systems and processes.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical program management, preferably in an e-commerce environment.
- Strong proficiency in JIRA and other project management tools.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce technologies and platforms.
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.4
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the SDLC and agile methodologies.
- Ability to create clear and concise slide decks.
