About the Role:

We are looking to hire a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team at IPSY who is able to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, with excellent attention to detail. The position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and works closely with all departments within the company.

This position reports to our Senior Accounting Manager and is based in Pembroke Pines, Florida (highly preferred) OR can be fully remote for candidates that meet all requirements below.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare a high volume of journal entries. Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assigned areas of responsibility would most likely include prepaids, fixed assets, and cash
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
  • Support accounting leadership in implementing accounting procedures, internal controls, and operational efficiencies
  • Execute and maintain key policies and procedures for your area of responsibilities
  • Support audit requests by compiling data and information
  • Respond to information requests from management and team members
  • Perform special projects as assigned by accounting management

What We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Mix of public and private accounting experience nice to have
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Retail or ecommerce experience
  • Previous responsibility for general ledger accounting processes, functions, and month-end / year-end close processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, needed to develop collaborative working relationships with cross-functional team
  • Ability to meet a consistent stream of deadlines and work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with different levels of staff
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • A positive, proactive, fun, and team-focused attitude

Bonus If You Have:

  • Experience with Coupa or Floqast
  • Experience with Netsuite
  • Pursuing a CPA
  • Possess a strong analytical mind and able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting hard deadlines

Salary Range:
$57,000$75,000 USD
