About the Role:
The Video & Photo Producer is responsible for overseeing the planning, production, and delivery of photo and video content for the IPSY brand. The role requires a strong combination of creative vision, technical skills, and project management expertise. This involves collaborating with Creative, Marketing, and Growth departments, as well as managing external vendors. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are a must.
This role reports to the Director, Production and is a hybrid remote position that will require 1 day per week in the Santa Monica office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan and produce internal photo and video shoots and manage on-set productions
- Define and manage shoot budgets
- Collaborate with the Creative and Growth Team on objectives, timelines, and content
- Scout talent and locations providing multiple options
- Negotiate rates with agencies, outside vendors, and talent within budget
- Confirm & Contract talent (Photographers, Models, Stylists, Groomers, Prop Stylists, etc.)
- Rent studio, lighting, and other equipment as needed
- Set internal milestone reviews for shot lists, talent, and overall pre-pro ahead of shoots
- Gather files at the end of each shoot from the photographer and/or DP and provide them to the post production creative team.
- Reconcile invoices and submit them for payment at the end of each project
What We Are Looking For:
- 5+ years of photography and video production
- 5+ years in-house creative or agency experience
- High level of organization and communication skills, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations
- Strong experience in project management; developing timelines; and managing budgets
- Ability to think strategically
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation skills
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and recommend solutions
- Ability to balance multiple needs and meticulously track and organize many resources
- Understanding of social media platforms and audience behavior.
- Portfolio showcasing previous creative productions
Bonus if You Have:
- Experience in beauty is a plus
- Experience in the paid media landscape, specifically direct response
- Strong interest in creative, data, and performance

Pay is based on several non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, skills, and location. IPSY offers a bonus, equity grants, and competitive benefits. Final compensation is determined by experience and skills.
Salary Range:
$75,000—$95,000 USD
