What you'll do
Docusign APJ is growing, and we are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people to join our high-performance team who are excited to make a difference and help our customers. The Presales Solutions Architect role is a key representative of the Docusign Sales team who partners with the Commercial and Enterprise field sales teams to understand customer business challenges, complex processes, and architectural landscapes, and to build world-class integrated solutions leveraging Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform and related solutions. Through engaging stories and custom-built demonstrations, the Solutions Architect illustrates the value and benefits of modernising a prospect’s agreement processes via Docusign IAM. This is a highly technical, customer-facing role requiring strong architecture capability, platform thinking, and the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders across APJ.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Solution Architecture APJ.
Responsibility
Establish technical credibility and maintain expert-level knowledge of Docusign products. Have a deeper level of expertise around the Docusign IAM Platform and related solutions (Salesforce, etc.)
Leverage your product expertise, custom product demonstrations, technical Q&A, business process diagrams, and product roadmap discussions
Understand industry usage, value and best practices when deploying the Docusign IAM solutions to help support sales, partners and customers
Engage in meaningful business and technical conversations, sharing industry insights with key stakeholders from all levels and business units within large enterprise organisations
Collaborate with the Enterprise field sales team to support the sales process, and to cultivate and secure net-new business within an assigned territory and targeted accounts
Participate as a technical expert in sales meetings to position the customer solutions and security differentiators relating to Docusign solutions
Lead presales and POC engagements with customers to deliver customised product demonstrations showcasing how the DocuSign IAM addresses desired customer outcomes
Uncover, comprehend, and document customer-related complex business challenges, processes, and enterprise architecture
Articulate selected recommendations and the business value they provide to diverse audiences
Work collaboratively with sales partners and other internal teams to ensure adequate knowledge of the Docusign platform and our sales process to provide a world-class buying experience
Design end-to-end solution architectures across Docusign IAM (eSignature, CLM, IAM, integrations, AI capabilities)
Lead deep discovery and qualification, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Own and deliver a technical win strategy for complex and enterprise opportunities
Design solution architectures and provide guidance on integrations, data flows, security, and scalability, supported by architectural diagrams and solution blueprints.

Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
7+ years’ experience in a technical presales role selling enterprise-level software
BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
3+ years of experience working with Docusign products or similar agreement, contract lifecycle management (CLM), or workflow automation platforms.
Ability to travel 20% or more as needed
Preferred
Experience delivering tailored software demonstrations across in-person and virtual environments
Proven background in SaaS solution selling and delivery
Ability to produce and interpret technical business documentation (e.g., workflows, proposals, SOWs, RFPs/RFIs)
Experience engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, ECM) and platforms such as Docusign, Salesforce, SAP, Ariba, or ServiceNow
Experience with system configuration and integrations, including APIs (REST/SOAP), data flows, and web technologies
Understanding of contract lifecycle management, workflow automation, and eSignature solutions
Strong communication, presentation, and business analysis skills
Creative problem solver with a collaborative mindset
Ability to operate independently, prioritise effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
