What you'll do
We’re looking for a Client Platform Engineer (macOS and Fleet Operations) with deep expertise in macOS, Jamf, and large-scale endpoint operations. In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to the ongoing evolution of our Mac fleet management and Digital Employee Experience (DEX), ensuring our endpoints remain secure, reliable, and performant at enterprise scale. Your focus will be on day-to-day fleet health, patching, vulnerability management, operational excellence, and user experience optimization across thousands of macOS devices globally. You’ll partner closely with Security, IT Operations, and the business teams to proactively identify trends, prevent incidents, and continuously raise the bar on endpoint reliability.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Client Platform Engineering.
Responsibility
Own the operational health and lifecycle management of the macOS fleet, ensuring stability, security, and performance at scale
Configure, maintain, and optimize Jamf Pro policies, profiles, smart groups, and workflows to support enterprise macOS environments
Lead OS and application patching operations, balancing security, compatibility, and user experience
Develop and maintain automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell where applicable) to reduce manual effort and improve fleet consistency
Monitor and improve digital employee experience (DEX/DEM) using telemetry and endpoint visibility tools, including Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) or similar platforms
Analyze fleet health signals to identify trends, degradation patterns, and emerging issues before they impact users
Partner with Security teams to ensure compliance with endpoint security baselines and conditional access requirements
Drive continuous improvement of endpoint performance, boot time, login experience, application reliability, and network experience
Act as a technical escalation point for complex macOS issues, providing root-cause analysis and long-term remediation
Benchmark our macOS environment against industry best practices and enterprise standards, recommending improvements where appropriate
Collaborate cross-functionally with IT Support, Identity, Network, and Workplace teams to deliver a cohesive end-user experience
Support occasional off-hours or weekend work for critical fleet operations
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)
Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.
What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on macOS fleet management and end-user computing in enterprise environments
Experience with Jamf Pro in large-scale macOS deployments
Experience with macOS internals, security controls, and device lifecycle management
Experience managing OS and third-party application patching at scale
Scripting experience in Bash, with an automation first mindset
Experience operating in large, complex enterprise environments with global user populations
Experience with endpoint telemetry, fleet health dashboards, and troubleshooting using data and signals
Experience working with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
Preferred
Strong scripting skills in Python, with an automation first mindset
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into operational improvements
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Experience with Digital Employee Experience (DEX/DEM) or endpoint visibility platforms (e.g., Zscaler ZDX or similar)
Exposure to proactive fleet monitoring, trend analysis, and performance optimization techniques
Experience applying AI-assisted or data-driven insights to endpoint operations (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive trends, noise reduction)
Familiarity with Zero Trust concepts and their impact on endpoint and user experience
Experience supporting or benchmarking environments with tens of thousands of endpoints
Strong operational discipline, with a bias toward reliability, standardization, and continuous improvement
Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively in a globally distributed team
