What you'll do
As the Government Affairs Specialist, you will serve as the operational backbone of the global government affairs team. This includes coordinating political law compliance by managing data collection and filing for disclosures like US Federal and State lobbying reports and reporting across various global jurisdictions. You will also provide operational and vendor support as the primary contact for external associations and vendors, handling renewals and invoices. Essential administrative excellence will be provided through scheduling meetings and drafting comprehensive agendas and minutes. Furthermore, you will facilitate the internal review process for external materials, track and report on government affairs engagements and metrics, and manage internal communications across channels like the team's internal website, Slack, and email to keep stakeholders informed of key policy developments. Collectively, these duties will provide you with a foundational role to track key legislative and regulatory developments, prepare essential senior staff briefings, and assist with broader event logistics and stakeholder engagement, which is critical for building political intelligence and executing our global advocacy and communication strategies.
This position is an indivdual contributor role reporting to the Global Director of Government Affairs.
Responsibility
Coordinate the collection of data and manage the process for filing political law compliance disclosures (e.g., US Federal and State lobbying reports, gift reporting) in various global jurisdictions
Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors and associations (e.g., managing renewals, invoices, tracking membership engagements)
Schedule internal and external meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and draft comprehensive minutes
Assist the team with coordinating the internal review process for consultation drafts and other external-facing materials, ensuring appropriate stakeholder approvals
Assist in maintaining communication channels with officials, civil servants, and other partners and nurture these relationships by handling follow-ups, managing inquiries, and supporting external outreach
Assist in tracking government affairs team engagements and metrics, and help prepare weekly and monthly internal reports (under manager supervision) to demonstrate the team’s impact on thought leadership, product development, and revenue.
Manage and update internal messaging channels including distributing automated Slack messages, maintaining the team’s internal website/Hub page, and circulating email updates to keep stakeholders informed of key policy developments and team activities
Job Designation
Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within government affairs, public policy or a public-facing corporate function.
Experience with Google Office Suite and collaboration tools (Slack, document management systems) and AI tools like NotebookLM, Gemini and others
An understanding of how local, national, or regional government bodies operate
Preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal skills are essential for translating complex policy information into concise, actionable insights for your team
Ability to pivot quickly as political priorities shift and handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks under pressure
Outstanding communications skills, both oral and written
Familiarity with political law compliance or lobbying disclosure requirements
Proven track record of contributing to successful advocacy team with an understanding of the legislative and regulatory process at the state or federal level
Strong project management skills for effectively working with internal issue experts, lobbyists and consultants, associations and coalitions to drive positive legislative outcomes
Experience drafting and reviewing internal and external policy communications and materials such as newsletters, slack posts, and legislative briefs
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $101,500.00 - $156,750.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $97,000.00 - $133,300.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary
Washington DC: $97,000.00 - $139,525.00 base salary
Ohio: $86,400.00 - $118,800.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
