What you'll do

As an IT Internal Audit Manager, you will work with internal audit, business, and IT Management to plan and perform basic to complex internal and enterprise-wide IT, operational, and regulatory audits (i.e., SOX, ISO Certifications, ITGCs, and ITACs). This includes performing internal audits of the development product life cycle, cybersecurity, business continuity, third-party risk management, and more. This role also drives audit innovation (50% dedication) through automation and data analytics to improve risk assessment and processes. As an important team member, you will have a strong motivation to contribute to an efficient audit process by providing independent and objective assurance and consultative services designed to reduce risk, add value, and improve operational efficiency in a dynamic environment.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Internal Audit Manager.

Responsibility

  • Develop and execute audit plans, ensuring they align with the organization's goals and risk profile

  • Lead audit teams, provide guidance and support, and ensure the timely completion of audits

  • Prepare and present audit reports to management, highlighting findings and recommendations

  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their processes and identify pain points from domain experts

  • Lead the implementation of automation and Data & Analytics (D&A) initiatives within the Internal Audit function

  • Leverage a strong foundation of business and industry knowledge, identify actionable insights from various (or multiple) sources of data that measurably improve business outcomes or reduce business risk

  • Develop prototypes together with Business and ITSOX Teams that can make an impact on the business

  • Focus on getting the most out of data and exploring new areas of analysis.

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate security implications for proposed new products or features

  • Perform ad hoc data analyses and reporting

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in leading audit engagements and delivering all stages of an audit
  • Experience with risk management frameworks, governance and internal control processes and industry standards (e.g., SSAE 18/SOC, COSO, COBIT, NIST)
  • Experience in adopting innovative and efficient audit techniques, such as: Statistical techniques (e.g., measures of central tendency, dispersion, variance, regression), Data Cleaning and Quality (i.e., data munging), Anomaly
  • Detection (identifying data gaps and inconsistencies)
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau)
  • Proficiency in English

Preferred

  • Certification in a relevant field (e.g., CIA, CISA, and/or CPA certifications)
  • Big 4 or equivalent consulting experience. Experience in SaaS companies (plus)
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
  • Passion for audit, compliance, governance, information security, privacy, and risk
  • A consultative orientation and ability to deliver a broad range of innovative and value-added services
  • Excellent organizational skills, commitment to generating accurate data, ability to meet short deadlines, and demonstrated experience in multitasking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly with multidisciplinary staff from different organizations/agencies
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated action orientation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to synthesize data and convey information in a meaningful way
  • Ability to describe complex technical concepts and ideas in non-technical terms
