What you'll do
As a Security Tools Engineer on the Platform Security engineering team, you will play a key role in advancing our security posture by building, integrating, and maintaining the tools that support our security and ITSM processes. This technical position is responsible for engineering robust solutions that enable effective monitoring, assurance, and response across the organization. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to deliver scalable and impactful security capabilities.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Platform Security.
Responsibility
Administer, maintain, and optimize endpoint security tools (e.g., EDR, antivirus, device control)
Engineer and implement integrations between security tools and other IT or security platforms to enhance detection and response capabilities
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security tool deployment, configuration, and ongoing performance
Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of security tools
Monitor tool health, coverage, and effectiveness; generate and analyze reports to identify gaps or areas for improvement
Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting or orchestration tools to improve efficiency and consistency
Assist in evaluating, testing, and onboarding new security tools and technologies as business needs evolve
Develop and maintain documentation for tool configurations, integrations, and standard operating procedures
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for endpoint security tools, providing technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders
Contribute to the development and execution of a long-term security tooling strategy, including tool selection, lifecycle management, and process improvements
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
2+ years of experience in security engineering, IT security operations, or a closely related technical discipline
Experience in one or more security domains, such as vulnerability management, configuration compliance, attack surface monitoring, SIEM/SOAR, or ITSM integrations
Experience in coding for tool integration and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java, or similar), including experience with APIs, scripting, and workflow automation
Experience with security assurance, risk management concepts, and industry best practices
Experience working within ITSM ecosystems (such as ServiceNow or equivalent) and a solid grasp of ITSM principles
Preferred
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of working both independently and collaboratively with subject matter experts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience deploying and managing enterprise endpoint security solutions at scale
Hands-on experience integrating security tools with SIEM, SOAR, or ITSM platforms
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for security automation
Advanced troubleshooting skills in complex, distributed environments
