What you'll do
We are looking for a Sr. Sales Compensation Strategy Specialist to join our Compensation Team at Docusign. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of market dynamics and the ability to design innovative pricing models and compensation strategies that align with our company's objectives. This role is pivotal in driving profitability and employee performance, making a direct impact on our growth and success.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Sales Compensation & Incubation Strategy.
Responsibility
- Leverage industry best practices to create process improvements and controls to support dynamic pricing across the full portfolio of offerings
- Undertake and manage data analysis, working with data scientists to model the optimal solution
- Design and revise compensation plans that attract and retain top talent while aligning with our strategic goals and financial parameters
- Conduct simulations and scenario analyses to forecast the impact of pricing and compensation changes
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting insights, strategies, and expected outcomes
- Communicate changes to a broad audience of varying levels for individual contributors to GVPs
- Work with pricing strategy to develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies based on real-time market trends, customer behavior, and pricing controls
- Analyze compensation plans to determine changes which will drive the adoption of pricing controls and policy as well as improve revenue
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations concerning pricing and compensation
- Stay informed of advancements in pricing and compensation methodologies and technologies, incorporating best practices into company strategies
- Have experience in creating/designing/modeling Sales Compensation Plan(s)
- Develop and maintain strategic business relationships across pricing, GTM strategy, and product teams to ensure alignment and integration of compensation programs
- Design and implement compensation programs that support business objectives and drive desired behaviors in sales and marketing teams
- Create proactive reporting and analytics to track the effectiveness and ROI of compensation programs, providing actionable insights to partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine compensation strategies that support new product launches and market expansions
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compensation programs remain competitive and compliant
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of compensation processes and tools
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8+ years experience in pricing strategy and compensation design
- Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL)
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Experience in sales compensation in a professional, fast-paced environment (tech)
- Experience with Incentive Compensation tools (Xactly-Incent, Forma.ai a plus)
- Ability to multi-task with limited supervision
- Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams
- A strategic thinker with detailed problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $108,700.00 - $168,675.00 base salary
Illinois: $103,100.00 - $141,725.00 base salary
Washington: $103,100.00 - $149,500.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
