What you'll do
You will be a hands-on analytics leader for Docusign’s lifecycle marketing campaigns. You will work with complex data, measure and benchmark campaign performance, design and run experiments to evaluate campaign effectiveness, and play a critical part in continuously optimizing the omni-channel campaign strategies in all stages of customer journey worldwide. You will partner closely with teams including, but not limited to Lifecycle Marketing, Campaign Operations, and Data Science.
You will excel as a trusted advisor, creative problem solver, and exceptional problem-solver with a proven ability to structure and navigate sophisticated problems and processes. You can simultaneously think strategically and take a hands-on approach to deep dive into our data to deliver high level or detailed well-structured models and analysis depending on the business need. You will succeed by combining analytical insight, technical proficiency, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate and influence your key partners and cross-functional teams.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Lifecycle Marketing Analytics.
Responsibility
- Drive analytics and KPIs for key lifecycle marketing campaigns across channels (Email, in-product messaging, chat, web, etc) and across customer journey stages - acquisition, onboard and engage, convert, grow and retain
- Identify and analyze metrics to measure and optimize marketing campaign strategies and spend
- Build, maintain, and monitor dashboards for campaigns to quickly understand performance and spot trends or outliers
- Conduct in-depth analysis of cohort performance and incrementally tie to campaign experiments
- Partner with cross-functional teams in Lifecycle Marketing and Campaign Operations to enhance existing campaign audience segmentation models and targeting tactics
- Support the experimentation roadmap for digital experiences: identify and prioritize opportunities, write test charters, partner with fellow analysts and data scientists on analysis and recommendations to stakeholders

Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Math, CS, or related) with 8+ years of relevant experience in customer behavior analytics, or Advanced Degree in a quantitative field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- 6+ years of SQL skills with excellent hands-on experience in creating complex queries across multiple database schemas
- 4+ years hands-on experience with marketing and campaign measurement
- 3+ years hands-on experience in A/B testing and experimentation with history of arriving at conclusive results
- Experience building dashboards in Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI or similar
- Experience in at least one programming language, such as Python, R, Scala, Spark, Perl
- Experience with Statistics concepts and analysis, such as hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design
- Experience with spreadsheet modeling skills including pivot tables and complex formulas
- Experience using both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques
- Experience with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to collaborate with the rest of the team to build solutions
Preferred
- Experience optimizing campaigns to achieve premier conversion rates
- Good familiarity with the principles of data science and data engineering
- Attention to detail with focus on data quality, data consistency and criticality
- Advanced data analysis skills, such as database query construction, data warehousing, forecasting, data mining and experience in business analysis
- Exposure to big data platforms, such as Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, Matillion, Alteryx
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $134,900.00 - $216,975.00 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $129,000.00 - $182,250.00 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $129,000.00 - $190,550.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
