What you'll do

As a Cash Applications Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing and posting of payments and refunds on our customer accounts. Critical components of this job include identifying trends to resolve key issues, ensure proper cash allocation, generate weekly and monthly reports and analysis to ensure accuracy and improve efficiency. A strong foundation and experience in working with cash applications and financial systems is essential. In addition, this position will require great attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines. This role works as a member of the Accounting team, and collaborates closely with Accounts Payable, Enterprise Applications, Customer Support, Revenue, and the wider Accounts Receivable team.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Global Accounts Receivable.

Responsibility

  • Support and supervise the Cash Applications process and daily activities and ensure timely and accurate month-end closings
  • Identify trends and resolve key issues (uploading of bank files, errors on check runs, ensure daily workflows complete properly, ensure receipts are cleared, etc)
  • Ensure proper cash allocation
  • Introduce automation to streamline and maximize team effectiveness
  • Review and approve all refunds, cash related tickets
  • Performs all low value write offs for fees, fx, intercompany
  • Responsible for training, maintaining SOP’s and daily reporting
  • Initiate unclaimed property/escheatment project to clear old credit balances
  • Handle all cash related escalations ensuring resolution prior to month-end
  • Support audit requirements on a quarterly basis or as needed
  • Perform special projects as requested

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Accounting qualifications
  • 5+ years’ broad experience within accounting/cash application environment or for a software company or in a subscription billing environment
  • 2+ years’ supervisor experience

Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle or other large ERP systems. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in multiple systems and quickly move from one system to another
  • Understanding of GAAP and Audit concepts and requirements
  • Interest and aptitude to work with high volume of data processing with a proven ability to educate, train and develop the team
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to discern alternatives and make objective recommendations, understand how to effectively work with other business groups to accomplish goals
  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with upper levels of management
  • PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast –paced, dynamic setting
  • Ability to work in multiple systems and quickly move from one system to another

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $96,600 - $149,325 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $91,200 - $125,400 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $91,200 - $132,900 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
