Client Success Manager, DACH
Criteo
Customer Service
Munich, Germany
What You'll Do:
About the Role
Criteo is seeking a highly motivated, curious, and client focused professional to join our growing Retail Media organization in the DACH region. As Retail Media continues to be one of the fastest growing areas within Criteo, this role will be instrumental in building and strengthening strategic partnerships with leading retailers across the market.
You will play a key role in maximizing growth opportunities, driving adoption of Retail Media solutions, and ensuring that our partners fully realize value from working with Criteo. This is a central commercial function with high visibility, meaningful ownership, and the opportunity to significantly shape the future of Retail Media in DACH. The role will be based in Munich or Berlin.
What is Retail Media?
Criteo Retail Media is one of the strongest growth engines within the Criteo portfolio. Our solutions enable eCommerce retailers to generate incremental revenue from brands, agencies and sellers by activating highly relevant, high‑intent advertising placements. Brands benefit from reaching shoppers close to the moment of purchase, leveraging retailers’ audiences and digital properties to serve personalized, performance‑driven messages.
What You’ll Do
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Manage and grow strategic relationships with leading (eCommerce) retailers in DACH, acting as their trusted advisor and long-term partner. Maintain a strong strategic perspective, balancing short-term execution with long-term growth ambitions.
Ensure client satisfaction, maintain high levels of retention, and drive improvements in inventory quality, yield, and monetization performance.
Steer structured business conversations with clients (supported by your vertical leader, local leadership, and technical and legal stakeholders) across all areas including contract negotiations, product integrations, commercial planning, and solution positioning.
Prepare and deliver thoughtful, data‑driven Quarterly Business Reviews to demonstrate value, unlock new opportunities, and influence long‑term partner strategy.
Consistently aim to exceed quarterly business objectives by identifying upsell opportunities and expanding partnership scope.
Drive seamless partner onboarding and platform optimization by leading the set-up optimization process to maximize inventory quality, managing end-to-end technical integrations in close collaboration with internal teams, and coordinating a structured cross-functional account team to ensure all strategic initiatives, issues, and commitments are tracked and delivered against.
Who You Are:
Native‑level German speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
3-5 years of experience in digital media or AdTech, ideally with deep familiarity in online performance marketing, eCommerce (e.g. beauty, consumer electronics, CPG or general merchandising), or AdTech platforms (DSP, SSP, DMP).
Passionate about building trusted, consultative relationships with operational and senior stakeholders, understanding their needs, and crafting solutions that align with both client goals and internal priorities.
Commercially minded, proactive in identifying new business opportunities, and comfortable navigating both strategic conversations and operational details.
Analytically strong and data-driven - you are comfortable as a number-cruncher, effortlessly leveraging internal data tools to build insights, identify opportunities, and inform strategic conversations with your retailer partners.
Technically fluent in ad delivery and comfortable with technology products - you have detailed knowledge of (retail) media solutions and a solid understanding of advanced ad delivery technologies
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively with decision‑makers at all levels.
Resilient, structured, and motivated by ambitious goals and long‑term partnership success.
We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
