What You'll Do:
Head of Demand, Retail Media France will be responsible for driving demand-side commercial excellence across advertiser accounts and priority verticals (CPG, CE, H&B). This role ensures customer growth through strategic account planning, revenue optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales Managers and Account Strategists to deliver exceptional client outcomes and maximize campaign performance.
Reporting to the Director of Retail Media France, you will oversee the vertical pod operations, ensuring alignment with market strategies and regional business priorities. A critical focus of this role is driving significant New Business growth by enabling and partnering with Sales Managers to identify, pursue, and close new advertiser opportunities. Your mandate includes raising the bar on client engagement across both existing and prospective accounts, ensuring Account Strategy teams execute effectively, and delivering measurable impact on revenue growth, new client acquisition, and retention targets.
The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in retail media advertiser dynamics with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strategic and operationally excellent, you will guide your team to deliver best-in-class service and drive measurable business impact.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Planning: Define and communicate the long-term strategy for advertiser accounts in France, ensuring alignment with broader EMEA objectives. Own vertical strategy alignment and prioritization in partnership with market leadership, and evolve advertiser segmentation, service models, and strategic growth priorities.
- Account Planning & Execution: Lead ongoing account planning across the business, reviewing customer problems, use cases, and sales tactics to unlock commitments and drive execution against growth plans.
- New Business & Reactivation: Support the unlocking of new business opportunities and re-engagement of churn accounts through prospecting and targeted commercial plans.
- Revenue Growth & Upselling: Lead revenue opportunity identification across Sales and Account Strategy, translating insights into clear commercial action. Drive diversification of campaign types and solutions across existing clients, unlocking incremental spend through Input KPIs, Brand Maturity Index, and whitespace analysis.
- Salesforce & Pipeline Management: Champion adoption and continuous improvement of Salesforce processes, with a strong focus on pipeline generation, forecast accuracy, and end-to-end visibility across the commercial lifecycle. Own weekly pipeline communications from lead creation through close, ensuring transparency and alignment internally and externally.
- Forecasting & Commits Process: Run weekly updates and commits reviews, ensuring opportunities are accurately qualified, progressed, and reflected in forecasts. Provide qualitative context and commercial estimates to support bottoms-up revenue forecasting and financial planning.
- Industry Visibility: Act as a visible ambassador for Criteo’s Retail Media advertiser business in France. Represent Criteo at key industry events and contribute to strengthening the company’s thought leadership, market presence, and network across advertisers, agencies, and strategic partners. Lead enablement and business development initiatives, including agency and brand sessions, co-hosted industry events, and strategic retailer discussions.
- Team Development & Enablement: Lead and develop vertical pod team(s), ensuring Account Strategists adopt regional best practices, tools, and ways of working. Partner closely with them on performance management, campaign optimization, and high-quality client deliverables.
- Framework Implementation: Drive local implementation of strategic frameworks that improve team performance, client outcomes, and operational excellence across demand-side activities.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with the EMEA LT and your team to ensure vertical strategies support broader market priorities. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and promote customer-centric innovation that strengthens client relationships and drives sustainable growth.
Who You Are:
- Extensive experience (more than 10 years) in retail media, digital advertising, or ad tech with a proven track record managing advertiser relationships and overachieving revenue growth expectations.
- Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing commercial teams in fast-paced, target-driven environments.
- Deep understanding of advertiser and agency needs, with demonstrated ability to build long-term strategic partnerships and drive client satisfaction.
- Strong knowledge of the French market, with established connections to the main market players.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities across accounts and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Highly collaborative with excellent stakeholder management abilities, skilled at influencing without direct authority and building consensus across diverse teams.
- Data-driven decision maker with strong analytical capabilities and experience translating insights into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes.
