Salesforce Release Manager

What You'll Do:
Criteo Internal IT is looking for a Salesforce Release Manager to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure delivery of our Salesforce platforms across Media Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service cloud.
This role is critical to maintaining deployment excellence in a complex, multi-org Salesforce ecosystem, enabling frequent releases while minimizing risks and ensuring platform stability.
As a Salesforce Release Manager, you are the owner of release orchestration and deployment reliability across Salesforce environments. You work closely with Product Owners, development teams, and platform stakeholders to ensure smooth, predictable, and high-quality releases.
You act as a key enabler of Agile delivery by combining technical expertise, coordination skills, and continuous improvement mindset.
Your main responsibilities
Release & Deployment Management
Manage and execute deployments across Salesforce orgs, ensuring smooth transitions between environments
Plan, coordinate, and execute production releases with minimal risk and downtime
Ensure release readiness, validation, and rollback strategies are in place
Define, implement, and continuously improve the Copado deployment strategy
Use SFDX and Salesforce CLI to manage metadata, streamline deployments, and troubleshoot issues
Coordination & Issue Resolution
Organize and lead coordination meetings with development leads across multiple teams
Act as the primary point of contact for deployment-related issues
Resolve complex merge conflicts, including scenarios involving multiple release versions
Identify recurring deployment issues and propose sustainable prevention strategies
Facilitate cross-team alignment on release planning, sequencing, and dependencies
Optimization & Automation
Implement and maintain Copado automations to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
Fine-tune Copado configurations to optimize performance and developer experience
Maintain Copado operational stability and ensure platform reliability
Regularly upgrade Copado packages to leverage new features and improvements
Develop and maintain SFDX / Salesforce CLI scripts to automate and optimize release processes
Contribute to CI/CD maturity across the Salesforce ecosystem
Best Practices & Documentation
Define, document, and maintain Release Management and Copado best practices
Continuously improve deployment methodologies based on feedback, incidents, and lessons learned
Promote DevOps standards, quality gates, and governance across teams
Support teams in adopting consistent and scalable deployment practices

What We Expect From You
Experience & Background
5+ years of experience in Salesforce Release Management, DevOps, or a similar role
Proven experience managing releases in large-scale, multi-team Salesforce environments
Strong hands-on experience with Copado Release Management
Technical Skills
Deep expertise in Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Advanced knowledge of Git, including complex branching and merge strategies
In-depth understanding of Salesforce environments, metadata types, and deployment constraints
Experience with Copado automation, configuration, and optimization
Ability to design robust release and deployment strategies at scale
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Strong coordination and communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to propose innovative, pragmatic solutions to improve release management
Strong organizational skills to ensure predictable and smooth release execution
A proactive, continuous improvement mindset
