Lead EPM
Criteo
What You'll Do:
As an EPM Lead, you will take ownership of leading and scaling a team of Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) to improve how Criteo R&D delivers products and services. You will enable others to succeed by guiding, mentoring, and empowering your team of EPMs rather than managing projects directly. Your mission is to act as a change agent across Criteo: driving continuous improvement, ensuring consistency of practices, and bridging across regions, hubs, and functions.
You will:
Lead and develop a team of EPMs: provide coaching, career development, feedback, and performance management.
Scale impact through others: enable EPMs to deliver at their best by focusing on removing obstacles, aligning priorities, and clarifying expectations.
Deliver outcomes: ensure that complex engineering programs don’t just run smoothly, but lead to concrete, measurable impact for the business and our clients.
Promote lean best practices: champion the principle that the best processes are the smallest processes necessary to achieve results — nothing more.
Recruit and grow the community: take part in recruiting efforts, mentor new joiners, and foster a strong sense of belonging within the EPM group.
Bridge teams and functions: ensure strong alignment and communication between Product, Engineering, and R&D teams across regions and hubs.
Be a point of escalation: step in when projects face challenges, help resolve blockers, and provide guidance to put initiatives back on track.
Influence at scope level: collaborate with Tech Leaders, Engineering Managers, and Product counterparts on strategy, OKRs, priorities, and execution efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement: challenge the status quo, evolve the role of EPMs, and improve organizational efficiency and delivery processes.
Represent R&D: contribute to cross-departmental, ensuring visibility and alignment of R&D efforts.
Who You Are:
Experienced Leader: 15+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or related roles
Change Agent: you accept ambiguity, challenge existing ways of working, and bring people together to continuously improve delivery.
People Developer: you are passionate about coaching, mentoring, and scaling impact through others.
Strong Communicator: you know how to tailor your message to technical and non-technical audiences, and you excel at building trust with stakeholders.
Strategic and Pragmatic: you can zoom out to define vision and strategy, while ensuring day-to-day execution is effective and aligned.
Collaborative Partner: you work effectively across functions and geographies, acting as a connector between teams.
Influencer: you leverage soft power, relationships, and credibility to align teams and move initiatives forward.
Organized & Impact-driven: you bring structure, prioritize effectively, and balance competing needs while keeping focus on outcomes.
