What You'll Do:
Mission
Ensure compliance with Spanish occupational risk prevention (PRL) obligations and lead the global coordination, monitoring, and continuous improvement of workplace health & safety practices across all company sites.
This role bridges local legal compliance and corporate oversight, ensuring that workplace standards, indicators, and training are applied consistently and effectively worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Local responsibilities — Spain (legal compliance under Ley 31/1995)
- Act as the company’s Internal Prevention Coordinator (“Coordinador de Prevención” / “Recurso Preventivo Interno”).
- Liaise with the external prevention service (Servicio de Prevención Ajeno) to ensure all legal obligations are met.
- Maintain and update all required prevention documentation, including:
- Prevention Plan (Plan de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales)
- Risk Assessment (Evaluación de Riesgos)
- Preventive Action Plan (Planificación de la Actividad Preventiva)
- Emergency and Evacuation Plan
- Coordinate with HR, Facilities, and other departments to ensure risk prevention measures are applied in daily operations (office ergonomics, fire safety, first aid, etc.).
- Organize and track mandatory health & safety training and induction sessions for new employees.
- Act as company representative for the Health & Safety Committee (Comité de Seguridad y Salud) and ensure follow-up of its action plans.
- Serve as liaison for any Labour Inspectorate interactions or documentation requests.
Global responsibilities — Workplace H&S supervision and methods
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve global workplace health & safety policies, standards, and procedures, aligned with ISO 45001 principles and any other standards.
- Define and maintain a global framework of H&S indicators (KPIs): training completion, incident frequency, ergonomic assessments, audits, etc.
- Collect, analyze, and consolidate data from all offices to track performance and compliance.
- Support local teams worldwide in interpreting indicators and implementing corrective or preventive actions.
- Design and roll out global H&S training modules, ensuring they are adapted to different regions and local regulations.
- Manage any required software for reporting and compliance.
- Coordinate internal audits and reviews of workplace safety practices across sites.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices between offices (ergonomics, remote work guidelines, emergency preparedness, mental health).
- Prepare and present quarterly reports to senior management summarizing H&S performance, trends, and improvement plans.
Who You Are:
Education & Certification
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, HR, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certified in Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (PRL) — minimum Nivel Intermedio (Nivel Superior preferred).
- Additional training or certification in ISO 45001, Wellbeing, or Corporate H&S Management is an asset.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Health & Safety or Facilities/Workplace management, ideally in a multinational or multi-site environment.
- Proven ability to manage both local compliance and global coordination responsibilities.
- Experience with data-driven monitoring (e.g., dashboards, indicators, audits).
Skills
- Strong understanding of occupational risk prevention principles (Spanish and international).
- Analytical mindset and ability to interpret indicators and trends.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (HR, Facilities, management, employee representatives).
- Fluent in Spanish and English (Catalan and/or other languages are a plus).
- Organized, autonomous, and comfortable managing transversal initiatives across time zones.
Performance Indicators
- Completion rate of risk assessments, training, and emergency drills.
- Timely updates of PRL documentation and committee follow-ups.
- Global KPI dashboard accuracy and reporting timeliness.
- Audit outcomes and number of corrective actions closed.
- Employee satisfaction or engagement on workplace safety and ergonomics.
