What if, in your next adventure, you were surrounded by people who, like you, believe that a strong sense of belonging starts with a successful brand story, would you care to hear more? You've opened the right door! As a Brand & Content team, making sure inspiring stories are told is what we strive to do.

What You'll Do:

We’re looking for a versatile Content Strategist experienced in writing and developing content for reports, blog posts, case studies, presentations, emails, landing pages, paid media, and more. This person will work on projects that span multiple topics related to adtech, digital advertising, consumer trends, and our products.

Based in Tokyo, this Content Strategist is central to our marketing efforts for Criteo’s business in Japan. Your mission is to support regional marketing needs in Japan, translating global content assets into effective marketing materials that drive thought leadership, awareness, and demand to accelerate Criteo’s business in Japan.

As a Content Strategist, you’ll also be engaging with growth marketing, field marketing, digital, web, social, and PR teams on a regular basis, so excellent communication and organizational skills (plus an endlessly positive attitude) are a must.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starting team player who knows how to get the answers they need to be able to do the work at hand. Sometimes that means researching, sometimes that means setting up meetings with subject matter experts. We don't micromanage, and we don’t hold hands: We just trust you’ll get it done.

What You’ll Do

  • Write high-quality shortform content (e.g. emails, case studies, landing pages, ad copy, web copy, one-sheets, posts for paid and organic social) and longform content (reports, presentations, and blog articles) that resonates with our target audiences in Japan.

  • Weave relevant Japanese research and data points into your copy as appropriate to resonate with our target audience of marketers (like brands and retailers) and media owners (retailers and publishers) in Japan.

  • Collaborate with different teams on content-driven campaigns to drive awareness/new business, as well as capture incremental spend from existing clients.

  • Publish content to the web, including blog posts to our public-facing blog and marketing assets to our internal sales portal.

  • Copyedit other people’s work to ensure everything we put out in the world remains true to our brand voice and style.

  • Review content translated from English into Japanese for accuracy and cultural relevance and revise as needed.

  • Manage a content calendar for Japan. This means keeping up with what’s coming down the pike, what’s on deck for the next month, quarter, etc.

Who You Are:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Fluent in English and Japanese, ideally with a portfolio of strong writing samples.

  • 5-7 years B2B marketing or product marketing experience. Adtech or ecommerce experience is a plus.

  • Solid experience writing content for the Japanese market.

  • Understanding of the diversified cultures in the APAC region and excited to work within a global, matrixed marketing organization.

  • Interested in distilling complex advertising topics into what matters for our audiences.

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

  • Comfortable owning projects and working independently.

  • Comfortable incorporating data and research into your work.

  • Comfortable working in project management platforms for day-to-day task organization

We acknowledge that many candidates may not meet every single role requirement listed above. If your experience looks a little different from our requirements but you believe that you can still bring value to the role, we’d love to see your application!
