The Basics:

As the Contract & Compliance Specialist you will be responsible for the lifecycle of procurement contracts at Tanium. You will be the subject matter expert on all things procurement contracts and ensure Tanium maintains a contract database that is current with high integrity data. Additionally your will drive daily operations through reviewing, assigning, and actioning the team ticketing system ensuring excellent internal customer service

What you’ll do:

  • Support operations and sourcing through leading the ticket management program
    • Review submitted tickets
    • Gather additional information from ticket submitters if necessary
    • Assign tickets to the appropriate operation or sourcing team member
    • Ensure the data integrity of the ticketing system through closing and or reopening tickets as needed
    • Analyze and report on ticket metrics
  • Support operations and sourcing through leading the milestone management program
    • Maintain a database of contracts with a high degree of data integrity
    • Notify contract owners of upcoming milestone events
    • Coordinate the decision on contract expiration, termination, extension, or renewal
  • Review contracts ready for signatures using established processes and procedures
  • Escalate any issues found during contract review to the sourcing team
  • Route contracts for signature using established processes and procedures, following up as needed with signatories to ensure timely processing
  • Create contract records in Tanium’s CLM and attach signed contracts
  • Answer questions related to contracts in a timely manner through reading contracts and providing a summary to the requestor
  • Analyze and report on contracts as needed to provide insight to the operations, sourcing, or legal team
  • Prepare for and participate in both internal and external audits
  • Coordinate with Operations, Sourcing, and Legal to execute projects related to contract management
  • Coordinate the gathering and documentation of supplier certificates of insurance, diversity certificates, and industry certifications
  • Provide burst capacity related to team operational activities
  • Provide support in designing, building, and testing enhancements to Tanium’s procurement system
  • Operate various compliance program tasks including data entry, analysis, and reporting
  • Execute routine daily operational tasks in a variety of administrative functions at the direction of manager

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience required.
    • 1+ years experience in procurement sourcing, operations, or purchasing.
    • Experience working globally and across multiple time zones
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business operations, Change Management, Statistics, Economics, Project / Process Management, or similar
    • Experience and understanding of basic accounting principles
    • Experience and understanding of basic procurement contract clauses and contract lifecycles
    • Experience coordinating with Legal teams
    • Experience and understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO, SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.
    • Strong ability to work on a team and communicate clearly
    • Experience training peers on processes and systems at various levels of an organization
    • Proficiency in O365 or Google Suite
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Projects
    • Proficiency in Coupa or other procure to pay tools
    • Experience working with functional leaders and executive stakeholders
    • Knowledge and application of Lean / Six Sigma principals to projects and processes a plus and “black belt certification”
    • Ability to solve tough problems, quickly

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $50,000 to $145,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
