About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The VP, Capital Markets & Investments is a senior Treasury leader responsible for two critical pillars of Salesforce's financial strategy: capital structure and global investment management. This leader will be accountable for delivering a capital structure that provides the necessary liquidity and flexibility to support the Company's growth objectives while returning excess capital to shareholders — and for exceeding benchmark returns on Salesforce's global investment portfolio while maintaining the appropriate liquidity and risk profile.

Responsibilities

Capital Structure Strategy & Execution

  • Own end-to-end capital structure strategy, including financial modeling, advisory, and execution — with the goal of providing necessary liquidity and flexibility to support Salesforce’s growth objectives

  • Lead share repurchase programs and dividend execution in alignment with Board of Directors and Audit Committee priorities

  • Structure and execute debt financing transactions, including public bond issuances, term loans, and revolving credit facilities

  • Manage Salesforce's banking syndicate relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key financial institution partners

  • Maintain and manage credit rating agency relationships (S&P, Moody's, Fitch), including preparation of materials and coordination of rating agency meetings

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Corporate Development on M&A-related financing and capital structure implications

Global Investment Management

  • Develop and execute global portfolio strategy across Salesforce's investment portfolio, optimizing for yield, liquidity, and risk — targeting returns that exceed benchmark while maintaining an appropriate risk profile

  • Lead performance and risk management for the investment portfolio

  • Drive liquidity planning to ensure Salesforce can meet its operational, strategic, and regulatory cash needs at all times

  • Execute regional cash optimization strategies across AMER, EMEA, and APAC

  • Partner with FP&A and the broader Treasury team to provide guidance on Operating Cash Flow (OCF) and Free Cash Flow (FCF) impacts

  • Integrate AI and Agentforce capabilities into investment management processes to drive greater efficiency, scale, and data-driven decision-making — consistent with the Finance organization's Customer Zero mandate.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across capital markets and investment management functions

  • Partner across Finance (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Risk), Legal, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations to ensure cohesive capital and investment strategy

  • Present capital markets and investment strategies and results to senior leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders

  • Champion Finance transformation initiatives, including adoption of AI-powered tools and Agentforce across Treasury operations

  • Foster a team culture rooted in the One Finance values: Trust, Ownership, Operational Excellence, and Equality

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive Treasury, capital markets, and investment management experience, preferably at a large-cap public company

  • Demonstrated experience leading capital markets transactions (debt issuances, revolving credit facilities, term loans, share repurchases)

  • Deep expertise in global investment portfolio management, including fixed income, money markets, and liquidity optimization

  • Proven experience managing banking and credit rating agency relationships

  • Strong financial modeling skills and ability to translate complex analyses into clear executive-level recommendations

  • Track record of executing in a fast-paced, high-growth, and matrixed organization
