We are looking for a Solutions Architect to work with academia across the UK to enable and accelerate AI research on the NVIDIA platform. Your playgrounds will be the world’s fastest AI supercomputers. Solutions Architects are the primary technical contacts for our customers and engage deeply with scientific researchers and application developers to drive the adoption of NVIDIA technology. We seek an individual that combines an intricate understanding of modern AI research workloads with expertise in accelerated computing and architecture.

What you will be doing:

  • Interact with end-users in academia and industry, develop a keen understanding of their goals and needs, define and deliver high-value solutions that meet these needs

  • Drive joint research projects with a focus on GPU-accelerated computing, develop efficient and scalable implementations, assist with the application of modern AI techniques

  • Promote GPU-accelerated computing and Deep Learning, deliver training using NVIDIA GPUs and software for AI research

  • Be an inspiring leader on integrating NVIDIA technology into IT architectures to support scientific and engineering applications

  • Groom power users to be NVIDIA champions, drive the Deep Learning Institute through DLI Ambassadors

  • Identify gaps and propose/develop prototypical solutions

  • Communicate customer requirements to NVIDIA Engineering to foster product improvements

What we need to see:

  • Passion for accelerated computing

  • A graduate degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related field

  • 5+ years work or research experience in High-Performance Computing or Deep Learning

  • Fluent in English both oral and written

  • Action oriented with strong analytical skills

  • Good organization skills to work in a heavily multi-tasked environment

  • Self-motivated, independent, ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction

  • Strong collaboration and social skills, ability to communicate effectively with customers

  • Experience with DL frameworks, multi-GPU computing, Generative AI

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • A PhD in a STEM related field or equivalent track record of impactful scientific publications in a technical area or industry segment

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLM), Foundation Models (FM) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Experience working with supercomputers at scale

  • Skilled at profiling, analyzing and optimizing CUDA code

  • Able to provide guidance and/or co-supervise graduate students
